"I have been buying/selling homes through Realtors® for over 30 years across the country. In all that time, I have never quite experienced the challenging market conditions I encountered when buying in Northern Virginia in 2021. Anybody who has made a purchase in this area recently or is currently in the market knows what I mean. To complicate matters, I was an out-of-state home buyer with a very short window. Jennifer came recommended to me, and if it had not been for her, I would have likely been forced out of the market temporarily (very short window mentioned above) and into renters’ status until I had the time to reenter the market. Jennifer spent some initial time with me, understanding exactly what my housing needs were. Once she had a working knowledge of what I was looking for, she immediately (within hours) added me to a searchable database that provided frequent updates. Throughout the entire process, Jennifer promptly responded to every single email or inquiry I made – every one. Homes I expressed an interest in were sometimes selling before I could even set up a virtual tour with Jennifer. I was becoming a bit discouraged. Finally, late on a Friday afternoon, I identified a property in Loudoun County that checked all the boxes for me. I emailed Jennifer with the information. Within 10 minutes, I received a call from Jennifer, who informed me that she was heading up to the property to try and get in to show me. (She did all this on her own before we even spoke by phone) She started the 20-30 minute commute without an appointment. On the way, Jennifer contacted the selling agent and secured a viewing for that afternoon. Jennifer also filmed portions of the commute, gave me traffic information, and shared local amenities in the area - amazing. Jennifer’s gamble at heading out without an appointment paid off nicely. Jennifer and I were able to conduct that detailed virtual tour that afternoon. I asked her to make an offer, and before 10:00 pm that Friday, the buyer had their offer. The timing here was critical since the very next day, this property was scheduled for an open house. Had Jennifer not been as aggressive as she had been with this process, the open house undoubtedly would have brought in more offers that would have competed directly with mine. Regarding the offer itself, it was drafted masterfully. There were provisions in that offer that ensured my offer was not only accepted but remained relevant in the face of other offers. My offer was accepted, and we closed recently. Jennifer’s impressive knowledge of market conditions, savvy negotiating skills, and relentless pursuit of results were what won the day for me. However, there was another side of Jennifer that I found equally impressive. I often felt that I was her only client. She was personable, pleasant to work with, and always positive.
